Code of good governance of the fpev

The objective of the Code of Good Governance adopted by the Popular Foundation for Basque Studies - Euskal Ikasketetarako Fundacio Popularraren, is to establish principles of action for the Board of Trustees of the Foundation, as well as guidelines on its governance, organization and operation, with ethical requirements consistent with the mission, vision, principles and values of the organization.

The Popular Foundation for Basque Studies - Euskal Ikasketetarako Fundacio Popularraren has committed to the Code of Good Governance, in order to comply with the "transparency and accountability" characteristic of a 21st century Foundation, clearly marking the basic principles that they govern our internal management, guaranteeing good practices and promoting efficiency and effectiveness in achieving our founding goals.

The Good Governance Code are not mandatory legal standards, but are approved voluntarily; therefore, it is not a question of laws, but of recommendations of good practices. It is a pattern to be followed by the trustees and managers of the Foundation to apply the best governance practices and achieve very transparent management.

The Board of Trustees is the highest governing, representative and administrative body of the Popular Foundation for Basque Studies - Euskal Ikasketetarako Fundacio Popularraren, which executes the functions that correspond to it, subject to the provisions of the legal system, its Statutes, and its Code of Good Government.

The scope of this Code extends to all members of the Board of Trustees of the Popular Foundation for Basque Studies - Euskal Ikasketetarako Fundacio Popularraren.
