At 11 am on February 24, 1782, Jose Maria de Uría Nafarrondo, Manuel de Ugarte, Martín de Abarrategui and Jose Ángel de Recacoechea departed from Bilbao on their way to Europe on a trip that lasted 8 months and two days I take them through 1,114 leagues through France, Italy and from Paris to Bilbao.
A trip by these Catholic priests who collect, as far as we know, the first “tourist” adventure of Bilbao, as well as other renowned travelers of the Enlightenment.
